Port To Decide Whether To Negotiate Cable Park Lease Wednesday
Meeting begins at 5 p.m., no testimony to be taken.
The Port of Hood River Commission will decide Wednesday evening if it is interested in talking with Naito Development about a lease for that company's proposed cable park in the Nichols Boat Basin. Port Commissioners will hear an analysis from its staff before discussing the concept and making a decision. The Port board moved to this step at the request of Naito Development. Both the cable park and aspects of Naito's proposed hotel and office building at the south end of the basin have been opposed by the group Friends of the Hood River Waterfront. No public testimony will be taken at the meeting, which will begin at 5 p.m. Wednesday in the Port's Marina Center boardroom.
