The Dalles Council To Talk Infill At Worksession
5:30 p.m. Wednesday in The Dalles City Hall.
The Dalles City Council will hold a worksession on Wednesday evening on residential infill development polices and procedures. An October worksession brought out five different options of dealing with the infill development on underdeveloped streets, with staff recommending a combination of imposing street improvement obligations as a condition to land use approvals and building permits, and deferring street improvement obligations until a later point in the development process. Councilors were looking for more specifics, which they will hear at the upcoming worksession. The City is looking to facilitate infill and minimize the financial barriers of such development, while at the same time ensuring safe and well managed streets. Wednesday's worksession begins at 5:30 p.m. in The Dalles City Hall.
