Garvison Planning To Plead Guilty
Scheduled to enter plea October 24.
The attorney for former Skamania County Auditor J. Michael Garvison has informed a judge his client is planning to accept a plea bargain in the case against him on charges of shredding public documents. Attorney Jon McMullen informed a Clark County Superior Court Judge that Garvison plans to plead guilty on October 24, two days after a trial had been scheduled to begin. Garvison is charged with two felony counts of injury to public documents authorities believe showed unauthorized spending during his tenure, particularly in 2003 and 2004. Garvison resigned from the Skamania County Auditor's post in November 2009.
