CASA Prepares To Train Volunteers
Volunteer training beginning October 16.
Columbia Gorge CASA, Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children, will be conducting volunteer training beginning October 16. Program director Susan Baldwin says CASA's are appointed by judges to advocate for children who are in foster care because they have been neglected or abused, and they can't be safe at home. Columbia Gorge CASA serves Wasco, Hood River, and Sherman counties, and Baldwin points out they have a real need for volunteers in Wasco County. Their four-week volunteer training series begins October 16 at CASA's Hood River office on 1340 Wasco Street in Hood River. Anyone interested in volunteering can call Baldwin at 541-386-3468 or 541-993-9506.
